Surprise in the Post

I got nice surprise today in the post – the Fedex van brought two samples of the new Cortex M7 chip from ST Microelectronics. I am also lucky to have in easy to solder package, when access to the fast RAM and LCD interface is required, unfortunately we move in BGA territory.

I am also almost ready with the UI board components pack, which i should be able to offer on the Order page very soon. I am short of only two components.

I had few old bits laying around – like the OZ2M and the Softrock Ensemble. Together with one of the first UI proto boards was a good starting point for a standalone 4m radio

After few hours of intense soldering i have a nice working transceiver for my favourite band
