Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!

The 2017 was difficult year for the project, despite that, we are still here, somehow. I would like to personally thank everyone who supported us, by working on the code, buying the kits, providing useful feedback and mods suggestions and being patient with delays related to the new revision.

Backlog of full kits, will post when the Post Office opens (2-3 days) and the case, i have all the parts for it now, will make some pics and videos asap.

    73 Dear OM,
I’m Christophe, F4ANH (in QRTmode since the destruction of my station by a storm 14 years ago).
Can I help you by doing a translation into French from the V0.7 Docs ?

Second Question : can i found the Kicad or Fritzing files from the boards of your mcHF Transceiver ?
i’m Working in a University as Fabmanager (from IUTLab.Mulhouse) and teacher, and I have prototyping equipment available (UV machine, double sided iron perchloride machine, tinplate machine, cnc milling machine) so i can built and experiment your transceiver.

      Hi Christophe,

Yes, would be great if you can translate any files to French, but keep in mind that i add new stuff all the time
and might add new docs as the project goes along.

As for PCB manufacturing files, i have no plans for releasing those. The amount of work and money that goes into those
updates do not justify making the project Open Hardware. Specially after what happened this year (various clones, removal
of my non CC license from the code, etc…). I hope you understand.

        Hello Chris,
Happy New Year to you and all your loved ones.
I totally agree with you : Chinese clones sucks!
I prefer the approach “Maker”, “DIY”, and therefore the discovery by myself. I do not conceive this without a prior authorization from the original author, I prefer by far the Open Source, and the practice of Chinese cloning repugnant to me, if at least they had the descent to ask permission and to pay you a fair reward.
I think that your wordpress site lacks protection:
we can easily access all of your “Upload” files year by year. The solution would be to place in each directory of your website empty index.html files or to activate in WordPress the prohibitions of access to subdirectories. This will already limit express looting via website vacuums like “htTrack” & co.

Do you authorize me to use your drawings to make my own transceiver, for strictly personal use as well as for educational use with my students (University of Technology Mulhouse-France, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department)?

Other Questions: Would it be possible to use a larger display on your kit, such as the 7 “screen for Raspberry Pi?
Is it possible to order the kit but without the LCD screen HY32D?
Can we easily replace it with another screen (with an ILI controller for example)?

To make the translation into French, I propose at first to translate the “user manual” and the “assembly instructions”. can you send me the good files in English? on my university mail: christophe.de-sabbata [at] uha.fr
        Respectfully
