Hi,
Changing 74AC74(U11) with PO74G74A has been suggested for a long time. I can confirm it is safe and easy to do, here in few simple steps:
1. Remove U11, preferably by hot air. Turn the board back and cut the 5V trace in the corner
2. Solder the new chip and put a small wire between the two decoupling caps (hot side, not GND)

All fine with po74g74 chip. Perhaps there are sale restrictions on the chip. Wonder whethercwe can get them at India !!!
Chris, what max frequency we can tune with 74ac74d please? If suppose i request for two potato 74g74 chips for use by me one for r0.4 and another r0.6, may Expect support from you Chris

Yes. Signal quality is much better on the higher bands. Wonder why the Potato chip is not standard in the kit. Or with 0 ohm pads to have a choice of either using the Potato PO74G74A or the classical 74AC74. 😉

Because this company seems to only sell on Ebay. Then post with some substandard delivery
method. It is just not convenient for constant stock resupply. Otherwise they have some
other even more interesting chips…

I think was described in some doc in the group or Github, can’t remember. The chip works upto 750 Mhz and
allows the mcHF mixer to operate better on 10m, if i remember correctly.
