Paul, a super video and most watchable. You didnt show any setting up or bias adjusting etc…did you actually just finish the rig and turn it on and have a qso? Or was there a chunk of setting up you didnt show? Lovely video.

If you visit the ‘Shop’ page, select the chosen configuration, chose your ‘Postage Option’ and the price will be displayed.
If Ukraine is part of the EU ( which I think it is) just select ‘EU recorded’

    Great Video! Many thanks.
Question: What exactly counts as a “turn” when winding a toroid? Can I assume it is one full wrap around the core, i.e. 360 degrees? Do partial wraps at the end count?

That is very good question. It’s more like how many times the wire goes as a loop on the inside of the toroid. If you are not clear on what I mean by that drop me an email and I’ll draw you a sketch to make more sense (djchrismarc – at- gmail -dot-com). It’s good idea to check with LC meter if the inductance matches the on the schematics. If it doesn’t add a turn or remove a turn to make it match or go as close as possible.

Hello, I am new to radio but as long as the (enamelled) wire is wrapped to follow the toroid surface closely, to leave no gaps (i.e. tightly) then I believe the meaning of “full turns” is exactly as you say by each 360°. it would be nice to hear both yours and my beliefs confirmed? Good fortune!

      Hello Dennis
I should be able to arrange that for you. Price would be slightly higher as the one we calculated with this kit is for internal US postage. Maybe you can drop me an email with your address and I can check how much extra will be for postage before you decide. (djchrismarc( at )gmail.com)

Very nice video. The receive audio sounds good and nice TX audio report. I noted on the screen in red “Sensor!”. What is happening?

Hello Bill. If you refer to the kit configuration on our order page they don’t come with guarantee as it’s a DIY project. Very rare we have had issues with components being damaged during transportation ( or other similar issues) and we offer replacement in these cases.
